What I do:
Louise O’Reilly is a professional female vocalist with over 20 years of experience as a wedding singer. Based in Co.Cavan, she covers Religious and Civil ceremonies nationwide. Louise takes great pride in advising and working with wedding couples tailoring music to enchance their special day. Delighted to be joining forces for Wedding Ceremony music with the talented organist and musical director Eileen Tackney.
Experience:
No stranger to the music and media industry Louise has been singing and performing from a young age with sisters Lorraine and Majella O’Reilly, the family band performed in Doha for the St Patircks Day Ball for the Irish Ambassador. Having appeared on many TV and radio shows (UTV, RTE and TV3) with chart topping girlband Fe-mail, who had a top 30 Irish hit, runners-up of Eurosong Ireland and supported UK girl band Girls Aloud, Louise has graced many of Irelands top music venues like the National Concert Hall Dublin and festivals such as the Rose of Tralee across the country . Currently taking on the role of June Carter with Ireland’s highly acclaimed Theatre Show ‘Get Rhythm A Tribute to Johnny Cash. Gaining much media attention and top reviews for their Irish Prison Tour the sold out show has been entertaining on some of the biggest stages across Ireland including the INEC Killarney, Electric Picnic Music Festival, Town Hall Theatre Galway, The Royal Theatre Castlebar, Theatre Royal Waterford, Watergate Theatre Kilkenny and The Ramor Theatre Cavan to name but a few. TV appearances on Ireland AM and the RTE Radio 1 show proved popular for this eight piece band.

Louise knows how stressful it is planning your Big Day having planned her own wedding in recent years and knowing how important it is to get your music right. She loves meeting and guiding her couples through what can be a daunting task of choosing the perfect ceremony choices. Music truly is a wonderful addition to your wedding ceremony and when the flowers are wilted and the cake eaten your ceremony music will always be remembered throughout the years. Louise is available as a vocal and piano duo. Offering additional musicians for guitar, fiddle or brass. A consultation will take place for each couple where you can select your choices from a varied list.
Organist:
Eileen Tackney is a native of Maudabawn, Co. Cavan. She first followed Traditional and Classical leanings.Third level brought her to Dublin where she studied Music in Ballyfermot Senior College, DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, the church organ under John O’ Keeffe, and Una Russell under whom she obtained her LTCL in organ. Eileen’s accolades include the Dunleath Scholarship in Organ and other scholarships that led her to her BA(MUS) and hDip in Education from NUI Maynooth.
She returned to Cavan in 2002 and took up the post of organist in Cathedral of St. Patrick and St. Pheilm. She then went on to become the musical director of the Cathedral choir until 2018. She has arranged albums for (including Deirdre Shannon of Lord of the Dance fame, The Young Wolfe Tones and All Ireland Trad’ singer Aoife Murray, directed musicals including West Side Story, The Hot Mikado, Footloose and Oliver.
When an original composition was required for the All–Ireland Fleadh 2010 in Cavan, Eileen was commissioned. Her good ear and sensitivity to sound are legendary. Added to that was Folk Electronica duo Emily’s Eldest which she fronted with writer/producer Ben Tiernan. They performed at Electric Picnic and Glastonbury. She has written two critically acclaimed electronic albums South and Towards the Sun.She is currently musical director of The Cavan Singers,musical director of band Song Sisters, a four-part harmony group and gives instrumental tuition in piano and singing.
